Pain O choKolat is a Paris-based multidisciplinary collective founded by Stephane Ashpool, Hami Delimi and Paul Hamy working in events, promotion and entertainment. They have been joined over the years by Charaf Tajer, Vladimir Ramsey, Medhi Aboualiten, Brice Torres, Lionel Ebombo, Alexis Sequera and Helmi Charni, each member introducing his own culture and individual influences. Pain O choKolat cooks up a multitude of party influences from fashion, music, art and also sport. Their numerous events have brought them into the public eye and so the roller coaster continues with a street-cultural orgy intended to unite party enthusiasts. Pain O choKolat is a perfect blend of great ingredients.
Here’s the recipe:

1-Take three kids from different backgrounds, remove their prepubescent wrappings and place them delicately into a classroom in Paris. Let their yeast rise for a few years, watch them find their affinities, steal candies from the bakers and steal kisses from girls in the schoolyard.

2-Now take them out of the larder, separate them with a cutting wheel and flavour them with music, fashion, art, and sport – a basic flavour. Simmer for a few years.

3-Pick up the three, drain them and shake off any unwanted left-over adolescent traits. Just a bit more maturing and then, using a pastry brush, cover them with highly positive energy sprinkled with European, American, and Japanese connections. They are now ready for the oven.

4-Cover with an alcohol soaked baking cloth. Put in a warmed up club or gallery and fire up to 250°C!
